My buddy is the "care" taker of a 2003 745Li Autotragic which is his bosses. It has just about 30k on it. We went out, washed it up, took some pics of it and then he said in a Jordanian accent "Lets go race, I can take you." I nicely said "lead the way." We did one quick run from a 1st gear SLOW roll. I didn't break boost or anything and I was barely at 1k RPM (turbo lag was going to be a problem) so he hooks three times and we go. He jumps out to a small lead with my front bumper at his rear. I figured this was going to happen because of the immediate torque advantage he was going to have and my lack of power without boost :stickoutt As soon as I hit 3200, full boost and I caught him by the end of 1st gear, shifted into second and pulled on him until he was about at my rear, hit 3rd gear and I pulled easily and a good distance. I shut it down before I was out of 3rd because going into 4th would have just embarassing for him ;) It was decisive that my old little POS won :alright

I expected this outcome as I figured he'd get the jump and I'd pull on him in 2nd and 3rd easily.

My car is somewhere between 2700-2800lbs (estimating) and making about 270rwhp on a dynojet and 300ft-lbs. His boat weighs in @ about 4400lbs, has 325hp and 330ft-lbs at the crank. I must say, for such a heavy car, those things really move. I got to go drive it around and damn is it smooth! We plan on doing this again tomorrow when someone can record it because he still thinks he can win :shifty

Very nice. Hmm I'm in Spokane as well. Where did you have this fun at? Also, you might be the guy to ask about some fun twisty roads to hit that don't have a million driveways per mile.
