This actually started about month ago when i was heading home and i catch up this red MR2 with the plate MR-2. There were little bit traffic ahead of us, so i had to wait until i can go past them.
So the traffic slows down and the MR2 starts to overtake the other cars so i go right in his tail. As soon as i do this only what i can see is black smoke coming out of his huge exhaust pipe and he was GONE. I mean GONE, i think it must have been turbo and no way stock.
The answer to that question came yesterday when i was driving on a highway and i saw this little red car on a horizon. I pick up my pace and catch the car and what do i see? Red MR2 with the plate MR-2. This was perfect: The higway ends to the lights about half a mile away, there is no one in front of us and the MR2 driver obviously wants to play. And the only thing where i have even a change is a race from a dead stop.
So we come to the lights and they are red and we are side by side. He is young guy with cigar in his mouth :D. I rev my engine and so does his.
I try to film the race with my cameraphone so i have my hands full.
There is second lights after these so i dont do the full 6rpm sidestep from the clutch start but instead i took it pretty easy.
So the light change and we are of. 1 gear he is behind me but as soon as i hit the second his gone!!:eek:
I'm like what the f**k!
So we came to the second lights and it is all over again. But this time i'll take the start little bit harder.
I raise the rev about 4000rpms and wait the lights. And again, after i've changed to second he goes by. That thing is fast. Remember that the 340hp M5 lost to my car in 1/8 mile.
After i got killed i drove next to him i opened my window, the conversation went like this:
Me: Turbo?
MR2: Yeah.
Me: non stock?
MR2: Not quite.
Me: I though so.
We salute to each other and went to our own ways.
In the evening i talked to my sister's husband and i turns out it is his friend. We tried to call him, i would like to know what his done to that thing :D, but we couldn't reach him.
I have a very very bad video also, i put it here when i can.
