Thanks to Brian from the "other forum":
The Atlanta area folks (and everyone else who wants to come) need a social meet. It has been a long while, and our pictures and stories are out of date. Let’s meet for lunch and show-and-tell at the Fire of Brazil on Saturday, August 26 at 11:30 AM. Visit the Bimmerboard’s Atlanta Forum for updates and postings.
Sure, I know that Hooters is a favorite meet spot for many E38 enthusiasts, but I had to break form a bit. Fire of Brazil has a great lunch (that is dirt cheap compared to the dinner), so bring your appetites. Plus, this location is probably one of the more accessible to the majority of the Atlanta area folks (sorry for the extra distance, Pam and revjim).
One of our topics of discussion ought to be a later road trip meet to BMW’s Spartanburg plant. My wife and kids are interested on making that run too—I have never been to an automobile manufacturing plant of any kind. Plus, I have this cool vision of a number of us gathering in the Atlanta and then caravanning up I-85 to Spartanburg in a glorious, thundering pack of E38 prowess.
I look forward to meeting many of you for the first time and seeing all the things you have done to your cars.
