Today at the Corner of Circle 75 and Windy Hill I saw a new body style Mustang. The car looked to be lowered, black/black with tint. It had wheels with a nice lip and what looked to be a body kit. The kit wasn't obnoxious or anything, it was very very clean, almost looked OEM. The exhaust work in the back had chrome dual tips that came out a rear diffuser. The tips came together at the hind end of the car like the New Hemi'd Cherokee's (Or a Porsche Boxster). It had a white sticker on the lower front lip that looked to read "550" in mustanglike font.

Overall it was a clean, aggressive looking vehicle. Does anyone know anything about this car? Are they stock? Limited SVT editions? A custom package for the car by an aftermarket fabricator? A complete custom job?

seriously...........c&d using this car put up #'s equal to a e46 m3(if i remember the program i watched correctly). 1/4, 0-60, not all that impressive for 550hp.

I believe Saleen used to number their cars in that fashion with a sticker in that location.

Yeah, I think that was it. It didn't look near as "gawdy" in black. 550 horses sounds impressive, until you look at the times.

In most cases they never perform as expected for the stated HP. The only good examples in my opinion were the orginal versions, 85-90 etc. Not saying those were good cars, but compared to the normal mustang they were based on they offered much better performance.

Of late they tend to be more show and dont go as claimed. Several articles have stated as such and wonder where that extra 100-200hp went since they barely perform better than stock. I will say they do look good in certain colors but it is still a stang underneath and usually means POS.
