I have wireless internet in my house so if i go outside and sit in my car, my laptop will still pick up an internet signal but as soon as i get off of the driveway the connection dies.
Now my point in asking this question is i am buying a bimmer, and i have been talking to a friend who says if i get a little bit of finance and get an E90 and i can buy this thing so i can have internet access in my car. :shifty where ever i am... is this true, i am guessing it would be an option if anything. is this true or is this guy just BSing me into buying an E90. I have asked my dad and he doesnt know anything about it. i dont want to phone the dealership and have them laugh at me down the phone.

you can get a wifi card to toss into your laptop's PMCIA slot. it runs off a cellular network and is usually a flat rate service. in the USA, the card runs about $100 + $50 a month service.

oh cool, i just thought they were lying to me so i bought an E90... i doubt i would be needing my laptop in my car but it might be a good idea for when i am stuck in the ever so frequent traffic jams,
