Curses! Foiled again! The DE organizers I plan to run with don't accept the hard top, though they accept popups:confused Another group will accept the hard top, but not popups, leaving my buddies unable to run.
I've been in contact with IOport, and they say that the 61902 (street bar, four point) is not designed to work with the convertible. Too bad, because $270 is not too bad on the wallet. Has anyone used one in a 'vert with success?
They say they have something else for $270 that bolts to the floor in four points that will fit the convertible, but don't have pics for it. I'm halfway wondering if it's a Kirk bar.
What have E36 convertible owners done? I realize I went about this kinda bass ackwards, but I really wanted a convertible for a daily driver... it's just been drafted into occasional track duty. Course that also leaves me in a relatively small universe of gearheads, since track junkies wouldn't be so silly as to buy a softtop in the first place.
Thanks for any guidance.
