I'm looking for an E30 325i coupe, 5 speed for track days/daily driver. I intend to do some pretty extensive mods so I don't need a museum piece, though I do want to start with something pretty clean. I'd prefer red or white. Anybody know of one for sale withing a few hours drive?

5-speed "i" motor e30s are like gold right now, especially with plastic bumpers. I've seen cars less clean than mine (!!) go for $3500+

Welcome to the forum, and don't be afraid to roadtrip for the right car. I've ridden 300 miles home on a motorcycle for the right deal before. :buttrock

I can fly for free so I don't mind traveling to find the right car.

I had to think about that. Did I mean in the market, or on!?

You had to SETTLE for a 535? Those things are awesome! They're very much like the e30 except bigger. The powerplant and car is bulletproof and handles extremely well for a car its size. Consider yourself extremely lucky! :buttrock

I've got time, and can travel to get the "right" car. It took me 4 months to find my Porsche, but it was worth it. I've got the old Mercedes for a daily driver (25mpg on recycled chicken fat), so I don't need to hurry. Just looking forward to something I can afford to mod and track.
