That should be great - I know several people I'm recommending it to.

When Steve Johnson moved from the Bay Area to San Deigo, he took a batch Golden Gate Chapter Car Control Clinic magic beans with him ;)

Wow - I found out the Saturday Car Control Clinic is only $80 (with last session on the big track). And another $20 if you want the Sat. night banquet.

Actually, she'll be so busy doing point bys she won't learn much. :D

Hehe, but if it's everybody from the CCC doing their first laps on the big track, I envision it as a pretty slow pace run group.

I actually did the clinic in 2004 when they had the Oktoberfest at Cal Speedway, and the participants tended to be fairly non-aggressive types. Only a few maniacs (like me), but for a first event it was very worthwhile, and I thought it helped me quite a bit when getting on the big track the following day, particularly in the sweeper where the skidpad training came into play.

But you are right, most of the group is going to be sub-D level drivers, and pretty slow.

So here is the dilemma, do I let her borrow the M3, or make her use the front-drive Lexus SUV she drives daily? M3 would be way more fun, but she might actually learn how to drive her car. :help (of course, if she moneyshifted my car (or worse) I'd have a sh!tfit).

Interesting - if she did it in her SUV and learned how to handle it in certain situations, it could save her life one day. I would go for that.
