I'm looking for ideas on hardwiring my Valentine One Radar Detector. In my 2000 Audi A4 they ran a wire from under the dash up and around the inner edge of the windshield and dropped just a short 5 inch length of wire to plug the detector in. I'm in central NY around Syracuse. Does anyone have any experiences good or bad or could recommend an installer? Thanks a billion.

get a hardwire kit, run it from your fuse box, and run it to wherever you like... just put an sr7 in my friends 330, although thats a whole different ballgame, wiring is still the same ;-)

in the "old days" we used the wiring for the UGO located in the panel with
the moon roof control. I presume you could use the power lead for the
moon roof control and feed it to the valentine. There is a small stud up there
that can be used for the ground. The panel pops out easily. karl

Thanks very much all. I'm still going to try to find an installer in central New York. I don't trust my wiring skills quite enough.
