Just picked up a euro front plate...I have the M3 M-Tech front bumper. Do I need to buy a special moulding to fit the euro plate holder...or how does that work?

I have euro plates on both front and back (don't ask how I managed to get that past CHP, but I did), and they are both attached with double stick tape and they look very clean.

You will need a different molding that fits the euro plate. Honestly I wouldn't even run it in the front as you will get hastled by cops even worse than not having a front plate at all. If you want you could just stick it between the dash and the windshield on the passenger side.

they do sell EUro molding front strip...

be warned..they only come in SMOOTH finishes. so it won't match your existing molding strips..if it's not smooth.

The plate will be covering it though, right? Only ask cause I've been wanting Euro plates as well.

Garrett, I've also heard that cops harass for the Euro plates as well...it makes sense...but is it really true? Anyone with Euro plates chime in?

Yeah, the euro plate covers MOST of the moulding. I'm not even going to paint match it. Might look nice to have some black up front.

As you can see there is barely any space on the sides of the mouldings.

the two ends of the moldings and top strip will show on the bumper.

Ooh, I see what you guys mean. I guess you wouldn't notice the incongruity unless you were doing a walk-around...I might find it a little inconsistent with the rest of the fascia but the Euro plate should be able to grab most of the attention, I would think.

i never had a problem with mine. i keep my california plate between the dash and the windshield on the passenger side though. cops have seen it for sure. in a parking lot once, a cop went up to my car just to look at it.
