D_ALPINE_M 08-02-2006, 02:48 PM What is wrong with that bike? I am just looking for a second bike to ride. Also yes I am refering to that bike in general. This is what I currently ride right now:
Mines is the yellow one and the redbull bike is my buddy's.

Just my opinion, but riding a bike all stickered up like that makes you look like a poseur. Then again, it looks like all the guys in your sig are wearing t-shirts and shorts and sitting on sportbikes. So if the shoe fits...
salvia.D 08-02-2006, 03:11 PM ^^ well the Repsol Honda 1000RR is a replica of the nicky hayden bike and theres less than 1000 in the states so some of them have some "value" ? ..

ImFstrThnUVR6 08-02-2006, 04:34 PM That Ducati is very sick, also that GSXR is a very nice bike if anyone is looking to get a hold of a bike for a very very reasonable price let me know, My bro wholesales bikes and can prob get a great deal. I myself will be getting a cbr 600 in the next two weeks hopefully. Let me know if anyone is interested.

How is that being a poser when telefonica was made for the suzuki. Also what do you mean about my sig? Are you implying something?

Riding motorcycles in shorts and t-shirts = sQuid. :dunno:
salvia.D 08-02-2006, 05:19 PM Sorry not to fond of honda but the repsol is nice though!
Honda bikes > all
We all have our preferences, but anymore it seems like everyone and their mother owns a yamaha or suzuki, i loved the R1 until 100000 people in lancaster city bought one, same with the gixxers. But i rarely see 1000RR's running around.

I think that if you don't protect your skin and your head when riding a bike you obviously have nothing worth saving for the long term. You and your friends should always wear protective leathers top to bottom no matter how hot it is. Personally I never leave the house without the full suit on and if it gets too hot for leathers, then I just ride at sunrise/sundown or I park it until another day.
Sorry for the lecture. Love the 999 though.

Well you see more people riding without leathers. I am not trying to be stubborn. I have been down twice already i came out lucky with minimal scrapes. We usually all ride with our riding jackets and jeans (not the greatest to wear) I can understand what you mean by riding with protective gear!

Do yourself a favor and spend the money on some decent summer riding gear. The Fieldsheer and Joe Rocket stuff is well made but very affordable and it's comfortable to wear in the heat. You'll be really happy if you ever do go down (again).
Way cheaper than another bike anyway.

Are you like on my case or something? :confused
Why would I need to buy gear when I already have gear. ;)
Now do me a favor and just take a step back. No need for you to jump to conclusions without any facts or what have you. :rolleyes

No, I'm not like, on your like case or like anything.
You just show a bunch of squids in your sig... sorry for jumping to conclusions. I'll like, step off. :)
NHbmw325I 08-02-2006, 10:46 PM that bike looks familiar, I think I have seen it, seriously. Down kirkwood highway towards Wilmington just pass prices corner near value city.
salvia.D 08-03-2006, 12:15 AM i think he just cares about you, thats all. no one wants to see anyone get hurt seriously.
does your mom know you ride w/o a jacket?:D

Sarcasm aye! I can take that. Just be about your business and be on your way. :wave

I think it is too early in the morning for you to even realize what sarcasm is. You over exaggerating the word "like" in an awkward sentence is not sarcasm? :confused
John V 08-04-2006, 10:58 AM You over exaggerating the word "like" in an awkward sentence is not sarcasm?
sar·casm: a mode of satirical wit depending for its effect on bitter, caustic, and often ironic language that is usually directed against an individual b : the use or language of sarcasm.
Uh, no. It's not sarcasm.
funfgang 08-04-2006, 11:01 AM Ok, JohnV...step down...
Ducati Biker guy...just forget about said JohnV...
If you already have a "normal" bike (which happens to be the true King of the Litrebikes as far as panach and passion), then why not have something special like that to ride occasionally...
Also, if you live anywhere near salinas and that bike is track prepped then by all means do it!!! I know you would use it...
BTW...did they finish re-repaving or stamping or whatever they were doing to smoothen the track out before the GP...cause the compression "dip" on turn 6...because that one scared me abit in a 996 911...

I would not talk to JohnV like that in the MAR. You must not know who JohnV is...
Lactomaniac 08-04-2006, 02:04 PM John V is just being sardonic. I have to agree with him though.
D_ALPINE_M 08-04-2006, 02:21 PM Ok everyone. This thread is starting to be off topics. One thing you can do is ride the way you ride and I ride the way I ride. So that way we will not bump heads. From this point on I am going to just put this Childs play aside. Now it is up to you to agree or continue with your charade.
Now has anyone seen this bike. Which really doesn't matter anymore because the bike has since been taken offline. I am guessing this was a scam online "ebay" to be exact. So thanks to the ones that kept on topic. To the others catch you on the flip side.

Thanks walter but I think the person that had it posted on ebay was trying to scam. At first it was 6000 and 7000 buy it now. The next day it became 2900 buy it now. Then i emailed the person got a response back from ebay who said "this listing wants to acquire your email addy." Not to be exact but something in that sense.
