hey guys!
i decided to pick a date for the meet that i posted as a feeler
heres the feeler for people that are interested.. i have a strong interest from here and dtm as well.

ok heres the plan!

meet at dunkin donuts on macarther blvd in mahwah nj 07430
take route 17 north get off at the macarther blvd exit at the light turn left.. you will go over an over pass and get to another light go streight.. you will then be heading up a hill.. at the top of the hill there will be another light.. right across the intersection is a shopping center on the right hand side. dunkin donuts is in that center.

the date is sunday december 15th @ 10:30AM we will depart for the state park between 11:15 and 11:45AM

we will stay there for an hour or hour and a half.. and depart to harriman state park... its a 20 minute drive doing the speed limit so i will give everyone maps so you can take it at your own pace as route 17 and one of the side roads to get to the park is patrolled regularly.

one of the roads is a 25 mph zone and everytime ive went there theres ALWAYS been a cop... so please dont feel the need to show of or speed here.. once we get in the park its generally clear it SHOULD be empty and go at your own comfrotable pace.. we dont want anything to happen like that last time.
well stay there for a while and perhaps dirve around.. its beautiful there in the winter.. hopefully the lake will be iced over like it was last year!

after that ill get resurvations to a either hoolihans or fridays which ever you guys prefer for a later lunch... if you dont wana go thats cool! just depart form 7 lakes!!
it takes about 15 minutes to get to harrimen state park from dunkin donuts (doint the speed limit) it will take about 20 minutes to get from there to a restraunt (once again doing the speed limit)
i for one dont speed mainly becuase i wont do the crime if i cant do the time.. my insurnce is high enough for being a 18 year old male...

i NEED you guys to email me for whos comming to the meet, also any friends thats you have that would be comming.. also how many drivers..

so once again in the email i NEED to know:
1)how many cars/drivers (need to know how many maps to make)
2)how many people

reccommended things to bring!

1)digital camera
2)camera that can record onto tape (im gonna tape the whole meet and put it on the net im gonna do my best hehehehe)
3)2 way radios (so we can communicate if people get lost, road hazards, speed traps (dont speed unless you feel comfortable i wont be)
4)radar detector(if you have one if you do dont feel the need to speed if you dont want to get caught!!!)

We don't get the lake effect snow like they do out west but we do get some shitty ass weather. For the past 2 weeks it has either been snow, freezing rain, or just too freakin cold!

I'm a Pacific Islander and we don't do cold very well. I sent you an e-mail and i'll see if my 318 is out of the body shop as i'm planning to get it in there to fix the medicine ball sized dent on the rear pass. panel around that time. If i don't have my bimmer then, i'll bring my Z. And only if it's not too cold and windy. Actually, i don't care about the cold, it's the freakin wind that kills! Just as long as there's no wind, i'm game. hell, we should stop into Pal. Park mall and go shopping and see if they could do Group Discounts there! Oh, and there's a D&B there.. :-)

one of my best friends is philipino! hes commin in his jeep or hes ridin shotgun with me and tapin everything...

The roads are nice and clear up here right now (little salt but not bad). I'm keeping the fingers crossed so it stays this way for the next two weeks :)

just checked the 2 week forcast.. it looks allright..
when drivin on the roads up there.. be careful.. theres no need to show off... with salt/water/gravel/sand on the roads its harder to control your car..
so if you want to put on a show.. dont bother comming no one wants to see it or watch any other immature antics

It rains today so the road looks clean. :) Hopefully, it gets dry, not icey, soon so I can wash my car.
If the weather is OK, I'll be there.

Looks like it was a good meet. Hopefully I'll be able to get to the next one :dunno At least I got to make some money and rub a really expensive car for a long time instead :D (I detailed my uncle's 996 turbo :cool: )

that's exactly right. its my daily driver. i live in Manhattan and i had to sacrifice somewhere. i had the Mercedes C36 and mercedes only make automatic cars. this M3 sedan auto feels so much peppier and the tranny responds very fast to down shifting. it's not a manual, but its pretty good for most of my needs.

i had a Taurus SHO from 1989 to 1993. That was enough stick shifting for me! Probably the worst car ever made though it was a great concept (the first performance USA sedan).

i am already researching trackline kit (koni/H&R sport springs) this week. along with H&R spacers for the rear. My car sits way too high. i can't bear to look at it anymore.

i donno its what ever the cash allows... if you want the car to feeel more like stick (shifting wise) look into the transmission chip dinan makes
i came close to buying a dakar yellow/ black interior 97 m3/4 for 22k alas that was acutioned

was SOOO close to getting a 95 m3/2 for 20k once again it was acutioned..

then the one i hate my self for missing was a 97 m coupe for 21k all though it had like 90k miles...
but still i wanted it :(

The spring would be great. Baby will be finished by then and we can roll. I'll be looking for reasons for any road trip by the spring time. Rolling in an "old skool" bimmer is OK, but there is nothing like my blown 8 cly 740.

Besides I like the idea of meeting the peeps to put faces to the names here on BF.
