I'm thinking of an M3 and I really like the Interlagos Blue, but I also want the Cruise control, it's nice to relax on an empty Free Way with Cruise control after a rough fun driving in the country side. I don't care much for the ZCP as I'm not going to track the car or drive like hell, the M3 standard specs are more than enough for me, although stiffer suspension is always welcome.

I tried calling a dealer here and they said there is no way to get Cruise Control with IB color, not even with all a special or user customized orders.

Do you think it would be available later, before the end of production next year? maybe BMW will want to get rid of their stock of E46 M3 and will open the options? maybe after market modification for cruise control? (I think they removed the feature from the computer so it will be a hard one even if you change the steering wheel).

M3 production is done. I was not thrilled with not having cruise either. It really is THE stupidest thing BMW has ever done on a M3. You are not going to get cruise on a Interlagos Blue M3.

why would you want Cruise control? dont tell me you bought an M so you can drive the speed limit. if that was your concern and you were just gonna drive the posted limit +/-5 you should have saved yourself 15k and gotten a 330.. or a 330ci if you wanted the coupe look. you can even get one with the M package with the lookalike spoiler and front bumper and 18" agressive wheels.....

the M3 is built like a race car.... its like going to buy a F1 MClaren and just to drive on the streets.

The M3 is no McLaren. Get over yourself. Nobody has to justify their car decisions to you. The guy simply asked a question. Don't ruin his thread.Your posts are riddled with arguments and insults. Most people want cruise in their cars. In fact ALL M3's come with cruise except the ones with the competition package. Who needs dual subwoofers in a race car? Mine has them. In fact my M3 has a rear sun shade. Is that needed in a race car? If I had the cash to buy a McLaren I wouldn't have any problems driving it on the streets. In fact if you could afford a McLaren you could drive it anywhere you wanted and nobody would have anything to say about it. I bought my M3 with comp. package because that's what I liked. I wanted cruise control but I'll live without it until I trade it next year.

M3 is not for speeding on the highway anyway, otherwise I would take a cruising car, or I would keep my 95 325is which is capable of 200kph easily.

OK, so bottom line no Interlagos Blue with Cruise Control, and I'll have to live with that, how is the Mystic Blue? does anyone have a good photo? I'm thinking either that or the carbon Black.

did i ever say it was a mclaren... you do not buy a car like that to show off your wealth, you buy a car like this because you are a car enthausiast who wants a car that can keep up with the everyday rigors of spirited driving... i bet your an advocate of a 67 year old guy buying an M just beacuse he feels like it. i dont care if he has 100million bucks. if he cant drive a car the way its meant to be driven, he shouldnt buy it.

they have the 330ci ZHP for a friggin reason. the M3 is a true car for the sports enthuasisted spirited driver with enough balls to push it every once in a while... why the F would you need 333HP if you wanted to go 35 all damn freaking day? its a god damn waste. just like you.

if you plan on crusing the speed limit +/- 5 all the time, a 330ZHP (which means M sport package) with 235HP is enough for you, and the new E90 330i with 255HP is more than enough for you. no offense, but the comp pkg car is meant to be tracked...

There is an issue where the Roundel goes over the competition package parts bit for bit and gives you an analysis of them...

However, like others have said ... by default, there is no cruse control available on the IB color because of the steering wheel in the competition package.

If you tried earlier, it might have been possible to do an individual color on a standard M3, but that would have cost you a $2500 premium. Unfortunately, the M3 production is over tho and getting a customized M3 will be impossible. You'll have to pick from inventory that is already on the lot or in transit to the lot.
