Okay - what is the button that is left of the speedometer?

Imagine the speedo in the center. To the right of it is a button that's for the hazard lights. To the left of it there is a button that looks like it should do something, but I can't find what yet.

That button dims/brightens the interior display lights when they are on. I'm not sure which does what (you basically set it to what you want, then never thouch it again :dunno) When you hold the button down the lights get dimmer (I think...) and when you press it repeatedly they get brighter. It might be the other way around... but thats what the button does :D
