Is it possible to buy a new Mini S below MSRP?

It seems in my area, the Mini is a hot car and the dealers are not selling them below MSRP.

We'd be looking to custom order a 2006 model.

Have the dealers ever discounted or put incentives on the Minis?

I don't mind paying MSRP because it is still a great car at a great price but just wanted to make sure.

I don't think they will... MINI is not a volume dealer, and very heavy on custom ordered vehicles, so I don't think it is in their business plan to sell below sticker.

You are lucky if they don't have a markup on it. In Socal, only two dealers I know of are willing to sell at MSRP.

Very rare. I've paid sticker on both of mine and a lot of people I know paid a little (or a lot) over.

nope, not likely to find a discount out there, and this is one of the big reasons that the resale is so good on them.

No discount but got the dealer to add a few options for free; Ipod interface, upgraded mats, some Mini clothing and jackets.

Yeah good luck finding a MINI dealer to drop below the MSRP. Here in California there are 3 total dealerships who sell for MSRP. every one else adds and average of 1000-4000 over MSRP. I know cause I sell them ;)
