I will be in Oahu the first part of December.
Are you aware of any retailers that stock and sell JL Audio Stealthboxes for E36?
I figure if there are, I will just pick some up there, as most retailers here in Tokyo do not carry JL products, much less something like the stealthboxes....(most stores push the navigation systems more than any other electronic item for the car).
Any feedback would be appreciated.

Vapor, you can always order from mainland retailers and have them shipped to HI (call your hotel and say there will be a package coming for you and they will set it aside). The shipping wouldn't be cheap but you save the sales tax...
Just a thought.

That is a possiblity, but shipping is much too expensive, for anything that leaves the mainland....(ask me why I know this!---$300 in fed ex charges for items that cost less than half that amount, to Japan)
The goal would be to buy them, and hand carry them back- thus elimintating the need for any shipping charges!

the stealthboxes are great...worth the trouble to get your hands on them while you are in HI like you planned:)

I have sent off an inquiry, but since neither of the two companies home pages list JL Audio as a product they stock- I wonder....
Any other thoughts from the Hawaiian members?

i still dont understand why you dont ship them to your hotel? its just 5 dollars more to ship to hawaii and if you order it from cali i doubt they'll charge u more than 20 dollars

Lopaka came through for me, made an introduction to the owner of a audio shop, an authorized JL Audio dealer- who is going to discount the normal selling price, since I went through Lopaka!!
I will have my stealthboxes in about two weeks- once I step off the plane in Sunny Hawaii...and walk into the audio shop!
