Hello everyone, I am proud new owner of an '06 Cooper S. I purchased her last Saturday from Checkered Flag MINI in Virginia Beach, VA. This is my first purchase of a vehicle from the BMW family, and so far, I am in love. :)

Anyway, by a quirk of fate I discovered that my h/k CD player also played MP3 CD's! I had gotten used to this feature on the JVC Exad in my previous vehicle, and since I didn't see this feature listed on the sticker, I assumed the player would not read those types of discs, but I decided to try one in there on Monday, and lo and behold, it worked!

This leads to a question that I have, that I would think has an answer. I don't intend to use the AM/FM portion of the radio that much, and as such would like to know if there is a stubby antenna stalk I could purchase to replace the stock VW-esque one. It un-screws, so it should be an easy fix, but I wanted to see if anyone else has done this, and if so, where was the replacement purchased.

I changed the antenna out with an s2000 one.

Either stop by your local Honda dealer and get the S2000 one, or order an Alta stubby. There are a few more around but those are the most popular options.

My MINI is of the Dark Silver flavor, with a white roof. :)

Thanks for the suggestion on the S2K antenna. I was hoping for something shorter that that, but that will definitely be better than stock. How short is the the Alta?
