That is Royal Blau, I believe - very nice car! Brain - you have to post like 17 times before you can put up pictures. I'd suggest going to their tuest forum and having some fun. What are the details of the car?

The car has 61K on it, bought it about a year ago after searching for a solid 4 monthes. Right now I have a dinan chip in it with a new exhaust system. Probably around 285hp. Thinking about a rear stress bar and a front strut bar. Besides that I'm just enjoying the car and looking for some more m6's in my area.

There are several guys in the Newark and NYC - some hang out @ Roadfly. Don't know of anyone in Philly.

Very nice car - go to www.bmwsharkfest.org and see if you can come to SharkFest! You'll surely have folks to ride down with in a pack...

Is sharkfest always in May? When is it in 2007? I couldn't find it on the website, maybe I missed it. Thanks

Almost always in May now. They did announce tentative dates, but there is some variability this far out...

It is a really fun event - great mix of cars and people.

Oh my god...

In all honesty, I would seriously take your car over any car on this board - plain and simple.

So nice...looks like you have been taking amazing care of her...keep up the good work! :D

Thanks. I have my own little detailing summer business so I know a little about keeping it looking good haha. My friends make fun of me because I baby it, but they just dont understand. Trying to keep it looking fresh because I have a feeling it may be worth something down the road...Currently shooting a video with it with my friend and I have to get more posts before I can post more pictures!

Im in Flanders. Morris county. Please for the love of god bring that to a meet. There definatley needs to be like a meet in central jersey so all people from North and South can come. There seems to be many a sick BMWs in this state that I never ever see on the road.

Nice car! I live up in Bergen County but ave a Royal Blue '87 M6 that I am restoring. It's a company car of sorts.. it's kept at our shop in Rahway.

Nick,

This is about what ours is going to look like once it's repainted. Same color. Looks like we've located the interior pieces that we need so we should be all set.

Mantoloking is south of Pt Pleasant and North of Bay head on 35. I used to spend the summers there. It's basically all residential but there is a Marina there on the bay.

I want to see that car. Pics never do justice, but it looked like a little interior mishap, nothing that couldn't be mended. I gotta come down, this Saturday if possibly, i picked up a set of DSII's and.... nvm...........i call you tomorrow.

Nick = Grey :) Yeah, hopefully someone can setup somthing huge so everyone can just come down, or up, and enjoy some cars. Ive only seen 1 other M6 in person, and only 2 E28 M5's including Wiseguys, in person. I want more damnit! :shifty

Your car looks like mine and yes it's lower than factory specs. I assume you also have some negative camber (your rear tires are angled) as a result.

I purposely lowered the back of mine because I felt it sat too high from the factory. Since you have SLS, all you need to do is play with the adjustment (on the rear stabilizer bar) to raise it.

California6er

Yeh looks like the sls is way out of adjustment, or your low/out of fluid, or your accumulators/shocks are shot.

I was driving today, and went to shift fast from first to second, and when pulled the shifter, the shifter nob came off. it clicks back on but if I shift hard it comes off. any ideas?

Check into the Bilstien setup to replace the SLS, or you can have it fixed for about the same money.

I wouldn't lower it much, but it is a personal thing.

Mine has a very small horizontal screw on the front of the shifter (we're talking auto aren't we?), facing to the rear of the car. You need to move the shifter out of Park (down to 1, as far as it will go) so you can get your head down and look at it from front on. The screw is on the front edge of the shifter, where the inside of your knuckles are when you grab the shifter.

If the handle is coming off it sounds like the screw isn't there. If you get a new screw be very careful with it, they're tiny and you don't want it slipping from your fingers and falling into the gearbox assembly.

He has a point if its an auto. But i believe that the M cars only came in stick. Those shift knobs are the push on style knobs. My suggestion is to be more careful when you are shifting. If there is nothing wrong with the knob, and you pulled it off while shifting, then you are doing something too hard. But it could be that the knob has something wrong with it and it will not stay in place very well. If so, then it wont be hard to remove it.

That's fair enough, I think you're probably correct. I've never even seen a real M6!

yeah its manual. an automatic M car just is'nt the same. The shift knob clicks in, but its very loose, and from the reminents of the inside of the knob, it looks like it may have had some sort of molding in there as well to hold it on
