vtbimmer 07-20-2006, 03:08 PM Besides the motor swap what else does it need to warrent a 4-5 year project? Especially if you already have the engine.
Rickysbmw320i 07-20-2006, 04:48 PM all new sheet metal, fenders, bumpers, basically going to the shell and rebuilding it with new parts. new paint color, some new interior parts, plus im at college at the same time! and im not going to do anything halfassed. i will take the time to do it right!
vtbimmer 07-20-2006, 05:42 PM It just looks like its in really good condition.

4-5 years...... Come on, you can do better than that!
WTF is with your e-brake dude!? ahhahahahaha
blitzed310 07-20-2006, 10:21 PM all new sheet metal, fenders
Why? Do you have any idea of the cost of that, plus the welding and blocking to do it "right".

What kind of college?
You can adjust the ebrake by removing the outer boot and while the ebrake is down tightening the double nutted adjustment cables. Make sure to do it equally on each side, and go 1 turn at a time testing between.
Rickysbmw320i 07-21-2006, 01:30 AM yes i know.....my ebrake is really screwy. i keep tightening it buut dont work...and i need all new metal because this car has alot of bondo and ya...

screw school.....get it done for bimmerfest '07! :D
jrcook320 07-21-2006, 08:48 PM Wow, props to you going all the way. It sounds like you're basically going to do what I did, except I was minus the m20 and bimmerforums. I started my car my senior year of high school 7 years ago and have been working on it ever since. If I may be so bold as to give you some advice, if the car is so bad that it really needs all new panels, I would recommend getting a cleaner, staighter car. You will be much further ahead and save a TON of money and time in the long run. Trust me, I've done it the hard way and would never do it that way again. Check my cardomain pics, its a lot of work.
KoKiNo320i 07-22-2006, 01:02 PM ricky drive safe and let me know when you get in town. have fun on your way here.
