Here is the story.
My girlfriend and I decided to take my 1992 325i to Chattanooga, TN for a weekend trip. From my house, this is 700 miles each way, and roughly a 10 hour drive. After checking my tires, changing my oil, checking my fluids, and doing all safety checks, we departed for the delightful trip to the south.
The drive down went flawlessly, and we had a blast. We crashed at the house at which we were hosted, and in the morning decided to go down town for some coffee.
While in town, i began to smell antifreeze so i decided to pull over. Upon opening my hood, i noticed that my antifreeze resevoir had about 2 ounces in it... Not good. Right away, I called Bill and asked if my waterpump blew. Sure enough, it did.
Upon being devestated that my car is all screwed up hours from home, Bill proceeds to ask me where I am. I tell him Chattanooga, and he says "No f*cking way." I ask him why he is suprised, and this is where the miracles/coincidences begin.
At Fiverfest in Indiana a week before, Bill happened to meet a man named Brian. Brian is a parts guy for BMW of Chattanooga!!! Bill and Brian drank and had fun together, and turned out to be great friends. Now, i dont know if i have a guardien angel, but someone let my waterpump last 700 miles, and happened to send Bill to Fiverfest.
Anyway, Bill tells me to call this guy at the dealer and call him the Parts Pimp. I do this, and he gives me cost on the waterpump, and saves time on my labor!!! Not to mention he fit me in at 3pm on a Friday afternoon!!!!
Thank God, MSR, Bill, and Brian of BMW of chattanooga.
