Could anyone with a U.S. bumpered E21 take a couple pictures of where and how the front side bumper pieces are mounted? Just one of the corner from the outside and from the wheelwell. I'm putting my front bumper back together and I think there may be something wrong with how the bodyshop has done repair work.

I know what's wrong with your car: You're trying to put a US bumper back on. Get a euro bumper front bumper, especially if your car is an alpina C1.

You car is a 323i like mine and should have the euro bumpers only,

The car was crashed when I got it, but the pictures I have of it from before show it with U.S. bumpers, so I know they can go on there. There are provisions for the U.S. bumper shocks, which I have just installed. I have U.S. bumpers now and don't really want to spend >$500 on Euro bumpers. I may eventually, but not now. My first concern is actually getting the car on the road.

Also, thanks to AE101 for the picture. I have no front valence for the car so I need to source one and figure out how everything bolts up.

that and they also rust like no ones business. i live in cali and thoes things rust out fast here. east coast...forget about it.

I run Magnaflows as well and they are fantabulous! Great sound! The only thing in front of them is a flanged old gutted cat that is basically there as a pseudo resonator.

Magnaflows are good but for that pure power sound, single chamber flowmasters really do it for me :)

Mags are always really loud yes, but they have that dull tone like a lot of rice exhausts, I like the rasp of borla and flows (and the e46 m3) more.

Im sorry, but it has to be said... The e46 M3 sounds like a chainsaw... i HATE the sound of their exhaust. way too "tinny" for my taste.

anyone ever run a borla im thinkin gabout getting a borla muffler and im gona do a slight side draft exit. but its gona run out of a small oval cutout under the rear bumper out of the drivers side rear lower valence. anyone ever use a borla. hows the sound, when i went with ansa my exhaust whilsled like the BUB RUB video..

(ps i have a decal that says that on my car) haha after i cut off the tips off the ansa it went away. im running straight pipe with no car to the ansa off stock exhaust manifold but when i do go with a header and go with 2.5 all the way through i wana go borla to get a good low sound but i wish i could find a soundclip of an e21 running 1. anyone know of any?
