I have 6 series with engine trouble and has been taken out to be fixed as i had a front car accident. I have got another engine and transmission of a breaker.
What are the implications in taking my 1 out and puting a another in??

I also need my alluminium chassis replace, have all the parts but cant find any1 to do the riviting and bonding. Can anyone take this job on in around sussex??

Also almost all new 6 series parts including seats and loom, dvd, screen, dash for sale at good prices from the breaker.

Not too many people have really had the chance to mess around with the mechanicals of the new N-series motors/E6x chassis. Off the top of my head, based on the E46 swap issues, I'd say you will have a hard time making the computers talk, as BMW likes to put in place all sorts of electronic anti-theft systems, making it very difficult to perform an engine swap.

If you can use all your old electricals, then I suppose it wouldn't be a problem. Aside form that, the car's resale value will drop due to the non-original motor.

Thanks,
I have found someone to do the chassis work, one hell of a job. only a few people in the south do it.
As for the engine i think the issue will lie in the key codes communicating with the engine. That can be reset by specialist people and key coders.

Any 1 want any parts????

As long as you re-use the original keys, ECU, EWS boxes, etc.. you should not need to do any coding.
