My 2006 330i (no i-drive) Radio and Audio System just died :help

I was playing an audio CD this morning, and when I returned from lunch
radio and the CD Player didn’t work anymore.

The radio displays the AM and FM stations I have in the memory,
and when an audio CD is inserted the display shows the correct
CD titles, tracks, etc. But there is no audio at all, as if the amplifier
section have died.

I have checked the 3 fuses that the fuses schematic show
as related to the radio, they are OK. Is there
a separate fuse just for the amplifier section of the radio and music
system?

My 330i has the “BMW Professional” AM/FM stereo CD/MP3 player
with Logic7 Audio system, and I’ll appreciate any help, as I’m trying
not to lose an entire day going to the BMW dealership and having to
wait for a service person and for a loaner.

Thanks in advance,
Paul

I posted my problem here sure that there must be a fuse,
circuit breaker, or protection device easy to replace
(as in all car radio equipment). Probably
nobody else here has had the same failure yet.

I’m waiting for my BMW dealer to return my call (I called
this morning, now it is past 6PM and I still waiting).

I can’t just drop my car. It is difficult to get a fast
human response from the local BMW dealer, even when trying to
make a service appointment.

Paul,
Sorry for your problem. I had similar problem. It turned out to be defective amp. You must take it in.
