I was there and a few other guys showed, but none of the E36/E30 guys showed. You didn't miss much. This is now the second time I went out there to see these 1000hp cars. I don't think any 1000hp cars showed up. A couple of bikes, a Cobra, a Supra, a turbo Neon, an NSX, Ferrari, a couple Vettes, and some Ms. I did try the Ferrari '02 360 Spider out; gave him a spankin (but he did get caught up in traffic).

BTW, we were noticing that there are a lot of very fine lookin women that visit the Town Center Starbucks and the places next door...:69

The only problem with the place is unless you know it is there, you will drive right past it.

I do wonder about a couple of things. First, why are you on the Mustang boards? Second, instead of watching me and Dan on the track, why are you not getting on the track? Usually it's the girlfriends or wives that are watching at the track.

And if you are up to getting on the track, there is a Porsche club event in Pahrump in September and a California Speedway event in October. PM me if you are interested.


I'm on the mustang boards because most of my friends have mustangs including my brother & that's where most of the guys told me to go onto to hear more about the roll ons...We dont just talk about mustangs on there, its all type of cars even to german cars & jap cars. But i wouldn't mind coming to track race just to come watch for a lil bit...

You don't want to try your Bimmer on the track? I have seen chicks out there. What have you got to loose? It's not that expensive, you don't need much equipment (helmet, or you can borrow one), you can sign up for one day only (saturday or sunday), there are different classes based on your experience/speed, and it is what our cars were designed for.

BTW, which one of those Starbuck's cars makes 1000hp? I don't think any of the cars I saw make 1000hp. To be sure, we could meet up on the weekend at Silver State Motorsports at the Speedway. Mike Arnette is the owner. We can see what these cars really make.


We meet up at the Starbucks on Charleston & Town Center usually on Sundays around 9-11am...I'm not sure if they're meeting up this Sunday though due to most of them are going to be out of town & the weather that we have shifting in also isn't looking pretty. But if you want, we can meet up somewhere around the area & we'll cruise over there depending on if you're free.

No i dont have dyno sheets on them but have seen them dyno before at 1320 motors before & seen some put down some scary #'s...Usually to me most people putting down those kind of numbers especially supras i just call dyno queens lol. any 700+hp car to me is only made for top end racing but not for 1/4 racing unless you wanna break loose all the way down the track unless your on M/T slicks. I mean i've seen avarege 500-600hp cars pull faster times than a 700-900hp car on 1/4 track due to lack of tuning & lot more stuff involved of course.

Also i'm not saying all of them are in that HP range & but there's pretty few amount of them there which you hardly will ever see that many ever on the street especially...But there's a bunch of 500-600hp cars there...

But to me if you have the knowledge, the money, and time on your hands you can build any car to its potential.

Here's vid of his Supra...I dont know his full mods, i dont see him to often, here & there i do because he's mostly rolling around with supra club in vegas...The Supra club meets up at OUTBACK STEAKHOUSE on W. Sahara & Durango on Wednesday nights, not many of them meet there but quite of a few of them show up there because i drive by there pretty often when they're meeting up there and sometimes you'll hear them revving up like crazy.

Also Dana Westover has competed several times in NHRA - Sport Compact Car nationals which he did just race Friday night...he ran 8.47@170mph but he did loose vs a tubbed out full race RWD conversion Civic that ran 7.3@184mph. Titan Motorsports is worlds fastest Supra though right now in world at 6.89, i forgot the other 2 then Dana is ranked 4th..

I agree with you though, because a huge percentage of people in this city spend so much money on there cars but do not get them nowhere...It's just like being that turbo there GSR integras & still run 13s due to because there either running crappy tuning or cheap turbo setup, so many reasons....Pretty much goes for a lot of the Mustang guys at the track to.

I dont know him as much...Ray & Dennis are mainly good friends with him though...i mean i've spoken with him before a few times...But i mostly hang out with Cory that you saw the other night & few others.

I haven't hung, hung out with him intentionally like face to face but i have seen him at the roll ons here & there with everyone else but i haven't got the chance to really talk with him face to face due to he's mostly talking with the other guys while im just hanging back & relaxing...

I think maybe this thread has gotten a little side-tracked. When we met up at Hooters a while back, K mentioned that a lot of 1000hp cars met up at the Starbucks on Town Center. As some of you guys know, I can't be involved in or associated with any illegal activity. However, I can still look at the trick cars that meet up at a food establishment. So I figured I would go see these 1000hp cars. Having built some street/strip cars in the past, it has been my experience that 1000hp cars are not very common. So that was the purpose of going over there. And I just wanted to clarify that it doesn't seem like there are any 1000hp cars that hang out there on a regular basis. It seems, like I mentioned before, that a handful of built cars go there, and I am sure they make 500/600hp. But not 1000hp. So it looks like K embellished a bit. And that's okay, some people do that. Instead of saying they met a girl at the club, they say they met a supermodel. Instead of saying they won a few bucks on the slot machine, they say they hit the megabucks. So I did not mean for this thread to be about whether or not there are some import cars or mustangs that make power. So I hope we are clear on that. But I don't have any interest in joining a mustang or supra forum as I don't have a mustang or supra. And I am sure that friend of friends have fast cars in Las Vegas and cities...:stickoutt

Hey guys, me, my brother, and a bunch of mustang guys, and other misc cars, soem other BMW guys that my brother knows, and misc cars are trying to set up a big huge drive, car meet, and cook out next tues., not this Tuesday, but the following Tuesday...Meet place will be at Desert Breeze Park somewhere around noon, i assume most of you do work but thats when a lot of them are off is on Tuesday's including myself but i'll try to work something out.

Already got about 12-15 cars already...mostly bunch of guys from CP motorsports which works on Corvettes, Mustangs, etc...and few from Silverstate Stangs..I'm gonna start filling up the list as the days go by.

nope... it's the annual challenge held by Sport Compact Car (mag) where top 10 viewers choice compete.... My dad didn't even enter but a few of the competitors dropped... so... the guys in charge of the competition called up the guys that are working on my dad's car (Autowave, Huntington Beach, CA) and invited the car. It's suppose to be at Willow Springs... I think... I dunno the full details on where it's held :X Competition is August 1 and I can't go :( :( :( Stupid summer school!!!
