I went to the BMW dealership after work to see if they had any of the new M's in stock. sure enough, they had a silver roady sitting next to a new 3.0si Z4.
This is not the first time I have sat in a M roady, but this was the first one that I took out for a spin with a salesperson. The first M roady I sat is was at the Portland International Auto show awhile back. The changes between the z3 and the z4 is drastic. they have very little in common at all besides the number of doors and seats.
The steering wheel was very thick on the M, and i loved it. the car has a abundance of power and drove very smooth. the clutch petal and the 6 speed tranny was a welcoming scene, as opposed to a SMG tranny. the car seemed very solid compared with the Z3.
I wasnt a big fan of the "bangle-ized" styling of the z4 at first, but the look is growing on me. I like em! not sure if i would shell out the $58k for one. Ill keep my eyes out for an 01 or 02 M Coupe
