What is the easiest way to remove the clear cover on the instrument panel? There must have been some moisture in the area at some time, it's got fungus looking sort of lime deposits. Originally thought it was part of the finish it looks that consistent. If removal is easy, how do I replace it and with what sort of bonding/adhesive, or does it just click into place?
Thanks again,

Here are great step by step instructions for removing the instrument cluster.

Please remove quotes when cutting and pasting the link into your browser address bar and replace DOT with a period. I'm not allowed to post links? Don't know why. This is dumb.
I would recommend using a quality cleaner made expressly for plastic and a clean all cotton cloth. You don't want to be scratching that clear panel.

That's amazing! If only they could help me remove a girls clothing with such graphic imagery I am sure to be in jail! Loving this forum. I have belonged to a few forums over the years (about cars only) with cars I have either restored or remedied and this forum is by far the best resource I am yet to come across. It's a credit to all involved.
Blown away! Thank you

You have to have a minimum post count in order to do some things here. It is a way of preventing spammers and spambots from wreaking spam havoc. It's a cumbersome pain for new folks for a little while, but it is a necessary evil.

Should I just keep this thread going for a few days? Weeks? Months?
That seems like spam too.

Perhaps this thread will be of help: http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=564223
To be honest, even though spamming up your post count needlessly is frowned upon, it's better than having porn links, viagra topics, mortgage scams and everything else that you can imagine along those lines littering up each and every forum. There is a reason for things to be the way they are.
