View Full Version : BMWCCA Member Poll
GUINNESS 07-12-2006, 11:31 AM After attending my first Sunbelt Chapter board meeting last night, I was curious to find out how many people on here are CCA members. The poll is open to everyone, but I'm mainly looking at OK residents (and AR even though they are grouped in the SE forum) for Sunbelt Chapter events purposes.
When you vote, please post as well as to why you are a memeber, why you are not a member, what you would like to see from the Sunbelt Chapter (or your respective chapter) that would make you more likely to join, etc. The guys talked about some great things last night and there are some pretty cool things in the works. I want to hear from the people here though. I know my big thing is auto-x and DE and it was a topic of discussion last night.
So let's hear it... are you or are you not a member, why, what would you like to see from a chapter, what can be done differently to make you consider joining, etc. Watch what you say too... our president is on the site :D

JedzE36/5 07-12-2006, 12:08 PM i am a new member but also pres of the OKC MOFOs. i think it is good to a part of both.
i joined because it was just another network of BMW drivers. honestly i never joined before because i was told that the Sunbelt Chapter never did anything. The tech session at Gearhead Tech changed my mind. I also want to participate in the BMWCCA autoX events.
BMWbeauty416 07-12-2006, 12:15 PM I have let my memebership slip past renewal - I PROMISE Larry I am gonna get it active again (been sayin that for awhile =P)
I really do plan on it - try to make their breakfasts and events as much as I can. Also wrote an article for the newsletter! and planning on writing another about the USGP.
and also like Jed said as the Prez. of the Tulsa MOFOs I really do need to get active in BMWCCA again!
We can talk about it more at McNel tonight if you are commin Guinness???

iflytii 07-12-2006, 12:41 PM I'm a member and the current OKC VP for the Sunbelt Chapter.
I joined because I wanted to network with other gear heads. I ran for VP because I wanted to help make things happen.
Guinness is right, we have several events on the horizon that are not only going to be a lot of fun but should also appeal to a wide variety of interests. The yearly car show, a well planned "rally" and wine tour, a resurrection of the auto-x events, a club race at Hallett and we are working on a getting back into DE’s. Of course our recent Tech Session was a tremendous success and with the group of guys and gals that have stepped up to help promote and organize these upcoming events, I can’t help believe they will anything short of excellent.
A ///Monster 07-12-2006, 01:21 PM I haven't had the money to spend on membership.
