So I am getting lunch for my wife and I after spendign the day in the garage working on my M3 turbo project...and I pull up to a stop light on a major four lane road..Two turn lanes on the road I am in...I pull up past two cars into the left hand laeft turn lane. Past a nice shiny new Musatnag GT. Didn;t really think much of it other than " look a Mustang" ;)

So the light is red..sit, sit, sit, yeah it was a long red light..I read a book too..

Light turns green...We all start turing left I just take off like a normal human. No NHRA launch for me...Ealy arounf the corner..THEN all of a sudden I see Mr GT come flying around the guy he was behind, engine roaring rather loudly...Hmmm...Wonder if he REALLY wants to go:D Gee I JUST happen to be at the sweet spot 4k rpm in first gear...Depress pedal to the carpet and take off! Okay I think he's gonna come on around! Errr okay dude come on around...okay maybe just hang back there like a dork in your new Mustang GT..Second gear...dam he just can't catch me...hit third gear and we are still even he cannot pull up to me or past...He's back two car lenghts

Top of third gear I start to pull away from him slightly...I see his hood drop the univeral sign for...Got spanked quiting while I still can...So I just shift to fourth runit a wee bit..You know just to make him feel better :cool

I bet he won't screw with another Girly Miata (note: my Miata is turbocharged).... And you thought I was in my BMW...I frikin wish its still on the dam jack stands in my garage...grrrrr...Should be finished this week...Then I can really do some damage!

Its around 2300lbs wet. Makes around 150-160ish to the wheel last dyno it was 157whp. I can't run more than 8psi or it will snap the diff in pieces..The early cars have small diff case. the later cars 94-97 have large cases with torsen LSD's. I don't run it real hard much I use it for a daily driver. On the Fun-O-Meter its off the scale...More fun than any BMW I have ever owned...Well Maybe not as much as my 95 once I finish the turbo :devillook

Sorry, but I may be the only NON-Mustang hater in this forum. I really dont think the car was racing. My best friend has a Turbo miata with more goodies than yours Im sure, and I tounced it all day long. He still has the car, and it maybe fun but no way is he beating a sub 14 sec 1/4 mile car.

If your buddy is not in the high 13's low 14s' in a uber hot rod turbo miata something is wrong..It matters what year he has, and what options the car has. The guys building really fast Miata's won't buy anything newer than 95, weight goes up with the newer car's. The lightes ones are the 90-93...

hey get there fairly easy not uncommon to see a really nice turbo miata running low 13's...even high twelves...

I can chirp third gear in my car with 195/50 ZR rubber...My Miata was almost as fast as my Modded 95 3.2 car in NA form...

My buddy has one that is downright scary, fourth gear it spins the tires..

The only other race In my Miata was a guy I stayed with in an LS2 Firbird with the big huge nose looking hood...I stayed with him until he shut down at around 100mph.

Nice kill! I was all :shifty thinking a turbo 3.2 should handle a GT without issue, unless the GT also happened to be force fed.
