I'd like to just thank all the volunteers, students, instructors, and sponsors for a fabulous and SAFE weekend at Road Atlanta!

We had incredible weather for July, everbody worked extremely well together on track, folks were on time, we kept to the schedule, most importantly of all, no incidents, and I think everyone went home tired but with a smile on their face.

We also had a new Z4 coupe from United, and a new M6 from the Performance Center in Spartanburg, in town and they both looked stunning on track!

Great weekend, and let's do it again in October, with our combined driving school and BMW CCA Club Race. Hats off to all who participated.

Another great thanks. Fun times even if all you do is go there to help friends with their cars.

I loved having the infield all to myself to watch from anywhere I wanted.

How do you get to know about events such as this? Are non-racers able to watch without a fee?

you could check the BMWCCA chapter websites, or i go to a site called TrackSchedule.com, and they list a ton of the driving events going on across the u.s. (how i found out about this one) i had a guest this past weekend, and they didn't have to pay to come into the paddock and wander around the track and spectate...

yeah all i did was walk around, help work on a ride, and get rides.. was a friggin blast.. just wish i would have driven.. so the moral of the story, pay the 350$ and learn to drive :D

Just a warning for those of you interested in attending our October event. It will sell out Quick!!! Due to the race group, we limit the number of students to about 75 instead of the usual 100. Look for registration to open up the first or second week in August and sell out within a couple of weeks.

Thanks,

Kelly Childress

I so want to go to another now that I got the pulleys on they help out a lot in the low end, but unfortunately I'll be 360 miles away from here in October.

Its been a few schools since we had such a non-eventable Road Atlanta school. I had a gr8 time also, met some of you guys and helped out those newbie students and instructors. I may have to do some suspension work for the October shcool to run with the instructor boys and girls.

You could have stepped up and done some motor work on a sweet E36 M3 and made my weekend better...
