If you’ve never done a track day before and you’re curious about what it would be like to drive your car on a real racetrack, this event is for you! Seasoned drivers are definitely welcome in the faster intermediate and advanced sessions, but the newest drivers will get special attention. Leadfoot Adventures has a great group of very experienced drivers who will be instructing the rookies both in classroom sessions and out on track. Check out the “Rookie Jump Start” page at the LeadfootAdventures dotcom website for more info if you’re new to the scene.

For those of you who know Buttonwillow, we’ll be running the #13 track configuration, which includes both the “Lost Hill” and “Bus Stop” segments. In the counter-clockwise direction, the exit of the sweeper and entry into the Bus Stop is really fun.

Star Mazda? I don't know 13 offhand. I've never run counter either, just run it clockwise... might be interested. So, what, 3 groups? How long is each session? How many sessions?

Yeah 3 main run groups and maybe a fourth for instructors. Either way each group is scheduled for at least 5 20-30 minute sessions. Passing rules for the novices is pretty tight, intermediates will have open passing with point-by required, and the advanced groups will have open passing (no apex-stealing though!) For insurance purposes we do not rent timing devices. However, I will have my Longacre beacon out there on driver's right.

All the event details are posted at the registration site. I'd have linked there but I'm not allowed, and that's understandable since I'm new to the Bimmer forum. You can get there by linking over from the LeadfootAdventures website though.

Have fun in Vegas fellas. Maybe we'll see you at one of our other track events this year.

Thats actually Tim (Tc535i). Beer, underwear and a video game (which you can't see), are all some of his favorite things. :rolleyes

FYI - We're going to set up a discount at one of the fine, fine Buttonwillow resort motels. We'll be getting some people together for a little grub and grog the night before the event, too.
