Hey all,
I was hoping someone could help me out this weekend. My left front suspension is rubbing on something, and I have no idea what. I think it might just need a new shock, but I'd like to jack it up and check it for sure. Since I'm just here for the summer, I don't have a garage or a decent jack or stands, but I do have a decent selection of tools. In exchange for letting me use their garage, I'd be happy to help someone do some maintenence, or whatever.

PM or respond in this thread if you can help me out.

Thanks,
Ryan

I'm up in Daly City and free this weekend, but it's probably too far a drive for you, especially if you're rubbing.

I don't think it's rubbing now that I went out and looked at it. I can't see anything rubbing, anyway. I guess what I need to do is remove the wheel and see what's going on. Do you have any experience with suspensions?

Daly City isn't too far... Thanks a lot for the response.

Nah, I'm definitely not mechanically enclined, but I'm always trying to learn. I definitely want to learn the layout of the E34 suspension too, since I have some parts that need replacing as well as lowering springs waiting to get installed once I get some shocks. I guess I just need a Bentley manual :(

I've got tomorrow open if you still want to mess around with it.

You know, I think I'll take you up on that. Do you have a jack or stands? All I have is my trunk jack and some simple tools (sockets, wrenches, screwdrivers, etc) but I don't have any parts anyway. If you don't mind, PM me your phone and address and I'll do the same. I have a bentley, so I'll bring it with me.

Thanks!
