My friend is looking at getting a 1994 525i - dark metallic green (oxford?). Its an automatic. The exterior is in nice condition... no dents/dings, paint looks very very good. No rust. The interior also looks nice. No tears on leather - everything is really really clean. Here is the bad thing though: 240,000 miles on the clock with no documentation. Took it on a long test drive and it felt GREAT. Engine sounded perfect and the car really did feel good.
So, what do you think it would be worth?

2K. But green :( So, um, maybe $5?
In all seriousness though, green doesn't seem to be that popular of a color, and they always seem to be going for less money than other colors on autotrader...

$2k sounds good. There's an E34 530i/A here with 217k sitting at $4200.

WOW. The guy listed the car for $3,800. He said he would go down to $3,500. So this is way too much for this car?

not necessarilly....a lot of people are NOT going to sell their BMW for that amount of money unless something is wrong with it
Id say at least expect to pay at LEAST 3 grand for any earlier model 5 series

when dealing with the older cars its all checks and balances- does it run? +500 , ac work? plus 500, new tires +500, maintenance records, +500, rust -500, cracked winshield - 500, ya know? theres 10-20k dollar e34s, theres 1200 dollar e34s, and everything in between.
