This isn't so much a kill story as me trying to keep up and getting my ass handed to me.

Just dropped of my sister and her friend at her moms work. Getting ready to flip a bitch, and there's a brand new black Cls 55 AMG. I was taking my time with the U-ie so i guess i bugged the guy and he floored it passed me. (OMG does that thing sound nice, although it looked like he was burning some oil, by the smell and color of the exhaust...not sure though.)

I catch up cause he is stuck @ a light. FOr some reason I knew he was going to floor it, so i switch to sport and turn DSC off. Sure enough he takes off, no wheel spin, I take of right after him, can't shake me go about to 60 -70 mph. He takes the 101 south exit gets stuck behind a sexy m3, as soon as multiple merging lanes open i hear that roaring engine, I hesitate to follow cause of heavy traffic but at last second decide to pass the M3 at least:P (but he wasn't racing) after around 70-80 my baby couldn't hang with the ~500 hp cruise missle, I did enjoy tailing it and am very surprised that i kept up so well. Of course that has nothing to do with the CLS weighing a million pounds....:stickoutt

Cliff Notes: Quit beign so lazy and waste 5 mins of your life reading my story:evil2 no really...Saw a CLS 55 AMG and hung with it p[retty well up to about ~80 mph, then got left in the dust...

By the way im driving an auto so there's no gears :(...oh well deal with it:shifty

Nice...I bet those things just rape on the highway...I've seen many of them around, and I've been wanting to see how badly I'd get raped by one, though from the way it sounds you held up pretty good down low. Nice!

Whereabouts on the 101 were you?

Redwood Shores exit, he works at that that fancy shore park place, it was about 4:30-5:00 pm if you want to know what time he gets off :P

I wasn't racing him...I was trying to keep up but, im pretty sure we all know what a supercharge AMG V8 sound slike when you floor it though....
(and there is quiet a bit more exhaust fumes coming out darker and faster..)
ANd even if he wasn't aware of my presence...he still floored it and I tried keeping up.

it has 469 hp just checkd the website, the CLS63amg has 507,
it quiet a bit heavier then my car, mines somewher between 3500-3800.

it quiet a bit heavier then my car, mines somewher between 3500-3800.Yea but you still don't have the power to keep up anywhere below or above 80mph regardless of the weight factor.He probably was'nt giving it all it needed.I mean below 80mph a V10 M5 has a hard time dealing with the CLS55 until they both run over 80mph.After 80mph,ALL M5!

I will gaurantee you he wasnt on it up to 80mph. You would stand NO chance and he would be gone. If he didnt spin his wheels its because he was probably 1/2 throttle. The regular CLS500 will spin into 2nd gear, the 55 just destroys its tires and is gone. However, good job keeping up w/ one even at 1/2 throttle!!! They are beasts and that is one of the sexiest engine notes around with the supercharger whining away. Pure sex on wheels.

I once raced a CLS on the highway. At first I thought I would be close (couldn't tell if it was a 500 or a 55) but then the CLS kicked-down to 3rd and put so much distance b/w me and him so fast that I never even got to see the 55 badge on the back. It was crazy hearing and watching that thing pull away.

Having had the luxury of getting to drive a few E55s hard, I can assure you it isn't even in the same zip code as our 540is. It is an absolute monster, and my guess is that he was driving hard, but not HARD. Traction isn't the easiest thing to be had in that car, but with that said, it has an amazing traction control system. Just going 3/4 throttle in the the CLS55 is more than enough to warrant this race. Had he been going full throttle it would be a very, very different story.:devillook

I think my post was a bit misleading yesterday, I didn't mean to post I was neck to neck with him up to 70-80, he was plling me slightly but not by car lenghts, but he might have not floored it, it just sounded like a harley when he hit it ....

pretty much anything will look like standing still versus the supercharged 55 AMGs. the E55 and CLS55 is underrated at 469. I got raped by a CLS 55 once.
