Who is "we"? We just got one at the Step facility here in Fremont, and we are expressly forbidden to look at/touch/take pictures of/breathe on the car. It's taped up, covered with a tarp and hidden in the back corner of the shop. BMW NA said we're not allowed to keep it anywhere near the door where people might see it. I haven't even gotten a good look at it.

i wasnt told any such thing. this vehicle is the car BMW NA of Montvale used for Marketing. is a prepro dubbed the E89. but since i really dont want to get in trouble. i'll just remove the link

That's probably a wise decision. When they got a prepro convertible Mini at my school, obviously before I started, they didn't get any instructions from BMW NA until a few days later when they sent one requesting that they keep the car hidden. Probably better to be safe than sorry, they're so weird about that stuff. According to one of my instructors, they're suing Wagoneer Trucking because they mistakenly dropped off a prepro car that was meant to go to the Ontario training facility at a dealership, and the dealership, who had no idea what to do with a car that wasn't even released yet, displayed it in the showroom. Ooooops.

We're allowed to take ours outside now. We just had to wait until the vehicle was released. BMWNA's rules, not mine.

we were allowed to take the 335i Coupe out no problem, but the 335i sedan was a NO-NO

Holy crap! I did not know BMW was coming out with a gas turbo! I was checking out the article in Motor Trend and was checking specs....double take. TWIN TURBO I6 :eek:

That's hot. Looks like they are going to have a nice range of power in the 3 series.

Wonder how these TT BMWs will take to mods. :dunno

...I'm not totally digging the exterior either. E46 for me is the pinnacle of 3 series design.

Word is that the turbo 3 liter will become one of the engines available for all 3 series, and a base engine for the 5 series.

IT COMES WITH A FMIC?...dude this car is going to be sooooo easy to pull power out of. TMS's chip will prolly give it like 60 hp hahahaha. I Have to drive one. My dad is pretty sure he is getting one.
