and, yes, I know my wheels are miss matched (just got a new staggard set)....my fronts are on the rear and they are STILL rubbing, fenders need to be rolled and maybe pulled out to get the rears on.

That came out pretty good, it looks classy like that. I sure wouldnt smoke the red part of the lens just the turn signal part. So leave it as is..

..Oh BTW, i'd smoke the corners and side markers too like what JedzE36/5 did ^

It is pretty dark, but I didnt want to see the amber at all. And they still light up just as bright as stock. These were four coats, i think Ill try doing two coats on the other lights.

got a better shot of your PCP smoke corners? I was debating either tinting my clear euro style corners or smoking them. But am afraid the finish would look kinda dull using nightshades or anything tint spray.

Go dark on the tails. And if you wet sand and clear after using nightshades, they dont look dull

for his we didnt clear or wetsand because the niteshadz actually came out glossy. i had to wetsand and clear mine. i am actually going to redo mine because i want more gloss on the tails.

its easy. first sand the light down lightly so the paint will stick. i used masking tape and plastic trash bags to cover the red portion of the lights. spray several light coats of the tinting spray. i did about 5 or 6 light coats. after that all dries put clear on then wet sand. also i recommend putting both lights side by side when you do this. my stupid butt did one light at a time the first time and one came out a little darker than the other.

Nightshades? Does it light up red? I'm thinking of smoking the repeaters

I used nightshades and it lights up what ever color it began as, as clear as day. Ive used paint on corners before and it didnt turn out so well.

I got mine from impalasuperstore.com, comes out to almost $20 with shipping, or I can sell you one of my cans for $10 if you want to swing by the pad fri or sat. You can also see how my tails and the other lights came out. And yes, it will come off with thinner.

MarqE36
07-14-2006, 03:48 AM
Good deal. If I was to swing by on Fri or Sat it'd be after 10pm when I get off work if it's cool. Sunday I'll be free for sure.
