View Full Version : Will there be a 4-door?
4500 RPM 07-04-2006, 04:02 PM I didn't see anything in any of the other threads here, so I'll just ask:
Will there be a 4-door E90 M3? Anyone know?
Personally I want one and would buy one if I could afford it...
smurfless 07-07-2006, 02:16 AM I think the FAQ said something about an available M body style kit available for the 4-doors in Europe, but no announcement about Americas availability.
gsrsdn 07-07-2006, 11:39 PM I read its going to be released here as an 08 model.:alright
vsokolov 07-09-2006, 12:43 AM no 4 door
325i_Dan 07-09-2006, 01:10 PM From what I've been told and reading, there will be a 4 door known as the E90 M3. E92 designates coupe.
nikkis34 07-13-2006, 08:21 PM Road & Track magazine has the first images of the highly anticipated BMW M3 coupe on American soil.

The new M3 will go on the market in 2007, followed in 2008 by a convertible and a return of the four-door M3.

Orlandojaz 07-15-2006, 09:06 PM I hope they stick to 2 door only. M 4 doors should be left to the 5 series.
3uroProjektz 07-15-2006, 10:58 PM cant wait ... saving up ma money ;)
alphaomegait 07-26-2006, 05:19 PM I plan to buy a 4 dr when it comes out. I have owned 2 of the e36 4 door cars. There is a market for it with us older guys with kids that want something to autox/track.
Schnell325 07-26-2006, 10:06 PM 4 doors only for me!
gsrsdn 07-26-2006, 10:08 PM I hope they stick to 2 door only. M 4 doors should be left to the 5 series.
:shifty
TheMossMan 07-26-2006, 10:34 PM I hope they stick to 2 door only. M 4 doors should be left to the 5 series.
What? Why? Please share your impermeable wisdom with us.
HIDion06 08-10-2006, 03:53 PM hmmm 4 door will be interesting...i know a lot of ppl wanted a 4 door e46...and the zhp, as great of car it is, did not cut it for those seeking the 4 door m3...they are making a smart decision if they actually decide to follow up with an 08 4 door m3
I hope they stick to 2 door only. M 4 doors should be left to the 5 series.
My 8-month-old would jump out of his car seat and kick your @#$% - of course I'd say: hey hey be gentle..
M3/4 coolest thing on earth (next to a M3 Touring if they were to make one)
If they don't... RS4 for me.
emfollin 08-20-2006, 09:30 PM I hope they make the 4-door M3 just because in my opinion the new sedan looks much better then the coupe, plus add in the utility of a sedan...should make a great performance car.
SleepRM3 08-21-2006, 06:56 AM E90 M3 4-door FTW :)
lithium726 09-05-2006, 03:22 PM I just hope they redesign the "E90" M3 a bit before they release it, the E90 is butt fugly, I think the E92's front end looks much better.
3&A Quarter i 10-03-2006, 12:00 AM I think
Reedo 10-03-2006, 11:07 AM 4 doors only for me!
Werd. I'm buying the E90 M3 if it comes out.
abakos 10-05-2006, 08:02 PM It's silly not to make an M3 in a four door...there are so many people that didn't buy the E46M because it was only a coupe.
It would be a welcome model I'm sure.
Won't be able to fork out the cash for a new one, but wifey has given me the green light on an E46M Convertible :buttrock
cemimms 10-06-2006, 09:48 PM screw 4 door M3s, get an M5
TheNorthWaves 10-10-2006, 12:18 AM i don't know why my buddies hate the M3/4. I think it's a genius idea.
screw 4 door M3s, get an M5
$25K more and a heavier car... and even more ugly.
mcoupejeff 10-18-2006, 03:36 PM I am also awaiting a 4 door. I read a while back that there was actually going to be a touring, or iT version as well. If so, ill hold out as long as it takes for one of those. Being an Mcoupe guy, the hatch is for me!
-Jeff
PaliE39 10-18-2006, 07:17 PM a touring M3 would be so sick. i'm not a big fan of touring models, but that would just be ridiculous. i would definately get one!
They are somewhat big in Europe. No sure they'd bring it here even if it was made.
mcoupejeff 10-18-2006, 11:07 PM when i read that, they were actually saying that there could be a wagon before a sedan, i think it was auto week, but this was some time ago. i know this is probably fantasy land, but it's wat i want!
-jeff
MotorWerkz 10-19-2006, 09:27 AM There will be no 4 door M3.
mcoupejeff 10-19-2006, 11:50 AM support? heard where? you say that just as sure as the sun will rise tomorrow. we'd love some more info please.

MP525i 10-19-2006, 02:41 PM There will be no 4 door M3.
way to back that up. :)
i would love an e90 m3. ultimately, i would love to keep the coupe forever, but i know that i will need a sedan. what better, than an e90 m3. plus i hear the sedan's are more ridgid for better handling.

bbechtel16 10-20-2006, 12:20 AM a touring M3 would be so sick. i'm not a big fan of touring models, but that would just be ridiculous. i would definately get one!
Yeah it would. But I'll go crazier with a M3diT. Diesel for fuel economy, touring for, well...touring, and M for the performance* of course.
*Engine performance will be adversely affected by the replacement of the 415ish hp V8 with a turbo diesel. However, handling performance will remain exceptional.
