It seems like once the wax dries on to haze (10-20mins), it becomes vertually impossible to buff off with a MF towel (applied too thick?). Can I use PC with some very soft pad (black?) to do that? What speed would you recommend? Should I give it a little mist of Quick Detail before buffind with PC?

Thanks!

I've buffed off tough paste waxes in the past with a wool pad covered with a MF bonnet. The problem is they cake VERY QUICKLY and can cause some minor marring. If you have this setup you can use it successfully but keep the bonnets super clean by changing them out often (if you have a bunch) or take them off and clean them frequently (if you only have a couple). I don't like the idea of a finishing pad to remove dried residue for the same reason - you might get marring.

My personal speed recommendation would be about 4-5.

It isn't a bad idea to lightly spritz you cloth or MF bonnets with QD spray and that might help with dried paste removal.

i often use grey pads to remove waxes and polishes. if its too hard to remove id also suggest a different brand of wax because good quality waxes generally go on very easy and buff off easy as well. ive got a few MF bonnets but i dont really care too much for them honestly.

I've been using Blitz wax, did I put it on too thick? Any tricks/tips as to how to put it on really thin?

Thanks!

When I used One Grand Blitz in the past I would always use a foam applicator and would preload it with distilled water. That seemed to work fairly well but it comes down to feeling the right amount of wax on the app. I even experimented with applying it with my bare hands and that worked better for literally feeling how much wax is being applied to the surface. IIRC the One Grand can says to wait about 15 minutes for it to haze. I wouldn't let it sit that long sometimes depending on the environmental conditions.

Blitz was one of my favorite carnauba waxes and it gives a brilliant shine. Try to keep it off your black trim pieces though.
