Ok, basically I'm looking for a nice aggressive stance for my 02. It currently has turbo flares and the wheels which are going on are 13x8 et4. I'm looking to get it VERY low and run a lot of negative camber. The question is how low can I go without having to shorten the front struts? If any of you are running aggressive set ups would you please post a picture and detail your set up so I can get an idea of what I'm going to have to run?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

The car I'll be doing the work to is here, just to give you an idea of the starting point (Stock suspension, 320i turbines etc.)

Investigate getting yourself a set of height adjustable coilovers. That would leave out any mistakes of one brand of springs vs another. You just dial in your car right at the shock tower, like these in this photo.

What coilovers would you recommend? I was thinking about using ground controls just because I've had good luck with them in the past.

I think Ireland Engineering sells coilovers.

Great site. he should have almost everything you need to build your car the way you like it.

From my research, the only real option for a n00b that doesnt want to build them yourself - the Ground Control units...

I want to get a set of Tii Ground Control's when I get the body on my car finished.

I wouldn't really consider myself a n00b... If I know what I should do I have no problem figuring out how to do it. For instance I've seen now that IE sells their front coilovers which require welding. That shouldn't really be any problem, nothing my friends and I won't be able to figure out. I just wanted to get some oppinions on popular set ups.

IE's for sure.
I dont even have mine dialed in yet but the quality is top notch and the price wasnt bad either.

Does anyone know who makes the springs for Ireland?

I believe that Eibach makes IE's springs.

IE can build your struts for you. They can either use their spairs or you can ship them a set if yours. Check their site for the labor cost.
