I have a signed contract from the dealer to by at window price. I'm number two in line at the dealer, and I can order the car with whatever I want on it, they said.

My dealer did not take a deposit. Have no idea what that means. I am like 7 or 8 on the list.

I don't think it counts if your dad is on the list and not you.

Well, since MINI is a part of the BMW AG, I do count. Additionally, even if it was not, my statement is no less valid.

No, I don't get your point. What is it?

Regardless of your opinion of my vehicle, that's no excuse to be a dick.

because there always will be a dumbass who ruins the party.

it's like you are just driving along, minding your own business and another dumbass jumping on you to fish a "race" just because they have nothing better to do in their lives.

Mine did not ask for any. Of course, I will not expect to get one for MSRP.

true...so when is the car actually scheduled for release in 07? did the dealer give u any details on when to expect it...and also did you choose a color and package options or have they not gone that far yet?

Ya, he said I would have to put down some money when I actually put the order in. He expected that to be in March or April. Who knows if he knows for sure or not.

$1,000, and no they haven't asked for any options or colors or anything as they haven't received the options list, let alone a picture.

thx for that...congrats btw...im sure u'll enjoy that beast when it comes out...lets hope it looks better than some of the recent BMW releases...however, regardless of looks i'm sure it'll be a beast on the road

LandShark

usually you'll just need $1000 deposite for a bmw; however, I'm sure some cases (especially for a M3) will be different.

I know I WILL/CAN get the M3 (or any other ///M without dealer markup) at MSRP, but I still want to see the real pics first..... not feel like to waste my (& the dealer's) time for the deposite and turns out I don't like it....

HIDion06

i completely agree with that...i know people are enthusiast on this site and are loyal to BMW to the bone...but it'd be difficult for me to make a deposit on something without seeing it...but hey to "each his own"...

Greg S

It's refundable...

HIDion06
08-11-2006, 07:49 PM
thats a good point...but dealers tend to be aholes when it comes to refunding a deposit...same thing happened to my bro when he tried getting his deposit back that he put down on an rs4...he got it back obviously, but the dealer was trying to give him a hard time about it
