I have comfort seats in my six. The drivers seat needs to be redone. I have talked to someone about this, and they really wanted a tone of money to redo the leather. Instead, I was thinking about just replacing the seats with raceing or sports seats. I have never seen a six with these seats, and I wondering how I would like them on long drives. Thanks for any information.

JT over at the Roadfly board just put Corbeau (sp?) seats in his E24 Alpina and drove it from South Florida to Spartanburg, SC for SharkFest. He could probably give you a good idea.

I have been looking for vaders for mine, but have yet to find a good deal. I will look into the Corbeaus.

You could also look into getting a set of the E30 sport seats. There is some guy on ebay who sells a kit for the rails to work on a 6er with the E30 seats.

Yes - he is the purest form of evil, but there is a guy in KC who sells it. I hate to support people who I personally feel are absolutely without a redeeming quality.

I'd stick with race seats or regular E24 seats. E30 sport seats are actually really hard to find, and the standard seat wouldn't likely look good in a Six.

i heard some bad things about this guy as well.one of which he steals other peoples ideas and profits from them.plus he's been run off of nearly every 6er board.
i went with a set of e30 sports and made my own brackets.not going to support someone with that kind of reputation.my e24 sports were in need of a full upholstery, and i traded due to the funding required.e30 seats have a different feel to them, but i'm getting used to them.these have the same horizontal stiching as the rears,so they match up ok.

yea i never heard anything about the guy. Thats a shame if all you say is true. I have a full interior from an M car so i have the sports. Im going to get the whole interior redone in the new style bmw leather. My friends dad just got an 06 330xi 6spd. NICE CAR. Anyway, i was going to try and find a lighter tan leather than whats offered on the new 3's and do Wolfie up in that, and since the seats have the tubing seams, i was going to do the seams in burgundy to match the color of the exterior. Probably some embroidery as well, its going to be no limits with this car when it comes to that i think, i really want it to be one of a kind.

I to am going to put racing seats in my....but only while I save to get the original seats redone. I bought my L6 for 800 from some crackhead (he really was haha) and since he was I am redoing everything back to original. nothing is going to stay the way it is. I've had it for alittle less then a year and my step dad and I are finding out more and more things about the L6 that we love. anyways so yea I am putting racing seats in mine wouldnt see why you couldnt. once they get put in I will take pictures and post them for you to see.

Here's a pic of my Corbeaus, for your viewing pleasure. They are a lot more comfortable than I expected. I had an issue with the sliders, and they sent out new ones, no questions asked. I don't recommend the microfiber suede, unless you keep it in a garage, or can live with faded seatcovers. They will also do custom cover work, if you want to try to match your existing interior - can't comment on price for that, though. Ping me if you have any questions about my experience with them...

which model are those corbeaus? Can you give us an idea on pricing for those?

They look sweet.

The TRS w-i-d-e-s (to match my wide backside!). I think they were about $700, to the door. I got them at apexperformance.net - give them a call - they usually have a bimmerforums or other discount code to save you a few $$$. Once I swap in the new sliders, and install the harnesses, I'll try to remember to post another pic...
