wtf is wrong with my paint? I waxed one week ago, had it shiny and all that nice stuff. The week goes by, the car get's dirty, naturally. I wash it again, and all my paint is faded again.

Sorry if this is difficult to read and that my grammar and all is fairly poor, I'm just pissed off at this paint.
What could be the problem? I wax it well, it's kept under a cover, yet every time I wash it the paint goes dull again.

What products did you use?

Your paint is likely oxidized and needs to be buffed to remove the dead paint. Single stage is some of the easist paint to make a huge improvement on, IMO. As a professional detailer, I personally love to work with single stage paint, it makes me feel like a magician.

The problem however, is that once it becomes oxidized, wax will not bond to the surface (if at all). This means after you apply wax, you may get a temporary boost in apperance, that quickly fades away as the wax is quickly worn off. Lucky for you I know a professional detailer that will be in Tampa next week and will be more then willing to give you some pointers :) .

I used Mothers Reflections Liquid Polymer somethin-or-other.

This makes sense...I was going to clay it, but I wasn't sure that it would work so I figured that I should come on here and complain about it ftw. Care to divulge any more about this professional detailer?

His name is Todd and he owns a bussiness called tropical detailing excellence and he posts on this forum under the name TropicalDetail...

If you need any help, let me know. I'll be at my parents all week long for the 4th (they live in Largo) so if you wanna stop buy and let me take a look at your car, let me know.

You can use a mechanical and/or chemical abrasive to deal with the oxidation. You can probably find some 3M or Meguiar's Pro polishes locally, but working by hand is going to be time consuming and less effective.

If Tropical Detailing is going to be around your area, it would be good to let him work a little magic on it.

Hmm. It'd certainly be worth it if I'm not going to take any or your time or anything. I'd hate to ruin your time with your parents though.

So true!!

Your car just needs a good polish. The oils in the wax are giving a very temp shine. Once they wash away or evaporate you are back to square one.

If you don't have a good mechanical polisher, some Klasse AIO will be better than nothing. This thread gives you an idea of its abilities to deal with oxidation.

I plan on it, maybe a clear coat too since they seem to like to fade.

And Todd, I'm pretty sure he's talking about the gray on the lower part of the bumpers.
