I got a set of bbs rs in poor condition. Dull, oxidation, you name it. I cannot shell out for refinishing of these. What are some good chemicals that are safe to use on those and could be used with no special tools?

Remaining 3 are way too bad.

Poorboys spray and rinse as well as P21s gel are great. My favorite over the counter and somewhat cheap wheel cleaner is Eagle One All Wheel and Tire cleaner

+1 P21s gel, I haven't tried the poorboys, but I would also suggest claying the wheels after you clean them. Use old clay that you wouldn't use on your paint. It may be hard to get in between some of those spaces though.

wow, I would NOT want to clay those wheels. I'm having a hard time talking myself into claying my DSI's.

I used an abrasive on mine, a super degreaser. I've heard that other cleaning sprays, like that CLR -calcium lime rust? work well.

When I used my degreaser, I just dipped my toothbrush into the bottle and then scrubbed over the super soiled areas until I could see some progress, then I hosed it all down so it wouldn't sit on the wheels for too long and repeated the process until they were clean again.
I think it worked really well, but before I did it, I was really worried about ruining the paint on the wheels.

After you get the really bad stuff off with the chems in the previous posts some Klasse All In One would remove the oxidation and add a nice shine.

Are they aluminum? I would use Brooklyn Ballbuster Aluminum Polish.

You can get it from SK Speed in Long Island.

Here is a picture of my buddy's Shelby Series 1 after cleaning it with Bklyn BB.

just go to town with like some simple green or something. clay them, then throw down some klasse aio. Then I finish with wheel wax.
