View Full Version : is there a bimmerforums.com meet?
///M LIFEŠ 11-12-2002, 09:49 PM I was just wondering if there was like an annual bimmerforum.com meet where everyone (who can come) meets up at one (majority agreed) spot . Like a huge event and people come from diff states etc. Sounds crazy, i know other clubs do. :dunno
themadhatter 11-12-2002, 09:51 PM it's being worked on. most likely seperate East and West Coast meets.
East coast will probably be in Pennsylvania, West Coast is still up in the air.
Late Summer is the ideal time of year (August).
///M LIFEŠ 11-12-2002, 09:55 PM Yes i agree; warm weather is the best. But if it going to happen it will take alot of time, planning and advertising :)
But has there ever been one? if yes around how many people showed up?
themadhatter 11-12-2002, 10:13 PM not yet, just the occasional local meets.
AaronM3 11-20-2002, 01:17 PM what about everyone meeting in a central location... like dallas???!!??? :D
themadhatter 11-20-2002, 01:18 PM right, central if you live in Panama.
Ron17 11-20-2002, 04:37 PM Hmmm... I wonder why the East one would be in PA? I think ATL is as arbitrary as any. And that's more central to the East Coast, since there are MANY Florida people who might like to attend.
ATL it is!!! ;)

Ron17 11-21-2002, 06:04 PM EXCELLENT!! :boobies
///M LIFEŠ 11-21-2002, 06:08 PM atlanta isnt that bad....sounds good.........
1995red318i 11-21-2002, 06:18 PM we need something a little more central and nuetral....how about wyoming?:)
Ron17 11-21-2002, 07:53 PM Well, for an East Coast meet, I really think Atlanta is the perfect location. It's pretty much the most central BIG city to the East. I'd say it's about even for the Southern Florida people and the Upper Northeast People... as well as Michigan/Wisconsin or even Louisiana people.
There's PLENTY to do here at almost anytime of the day.
Plus, I get to go home and sleep in my own bed each night, so you gotta love it... :)
toofast4U 11-22-2002, 02:46 AM well the west coast meet would be nice in like Carmel or something...or Santa Barbara....that's central for everyone...about 4 hours from SD...and about the same from SF I'm assuming
///MINI 11-22-2002, 09:54 AM How about Hawaii? :D
SilverStreak 11-22-2002, 11:19 AM If it's in Atlanta I may make it, but my car won't... :D
I'm with Phil, Hawaii! ;)
///M LIFEŠ 11-23-2002, 04:18 AM i think it should be a central location so people from all around US can come
i know it sounds crazy but just think how many bimmers will be there
Stylin 11-23-2002, 04:23 AM people are just all over the place.. its so hard to get people to come from all over the US and drive through state after state for a meet. Im up for for pretty much anything for the northeast coast. :)
///M LIFEŠ 11-23-2002, 04:27 AM so then it could be split in two meets?
I wouldnt mind driving half across US for a meet...esp with a caravan of bimmers..but it would have to be something BIG :)
ROAD TRIP!
SilverStreak 11-23-2002, 05:29 PM 4? NE, SE, NW, SW.... :dunno
toofast4U 11-24-2002, 12:35 AM I like that idea....the four corners of the states...
Filip75 11-24-2002, 02:49 AM For West Coast it should be Central California (Monterey for example)
///M LIFEŠ 11-24-2002, 06:47 AM yup yup....so lets get the ball rolling !
SilverStreak 11-25-2002, 09:45 AM There could be a West Coast meet, Mid-West meet, and a NE Meet and SE Meet??

Central California would be cool. How about something like the Paso Robles wine country, San Luis Obispo or something in North Santa Barbara County? :dunno
