New to the bimmer world, but I'm really liking the look of the 633 for sale. 140k, some faded paint,a few interior probs. Guy says it could use a new muffler(too loud), and a tune up. Want 950 obo...anything wrong at first glance?

Unless you do your own work, it could get real expensive, real fast.

swoosh is right. The E24 on the E12 chassis is a fine automobile, especially with the 5 speed. However, it needs tender loving care and consistent upkeep. I've had mine forever but I do 95% of all my work. Tune up might mean sick engine although it is hard to break. Check shock towers for rust. Moneys right.

Out of curiosity I went and looked at the car. Paint is missing from the hood and roof. Does not idle very well. Adjust valves, ignition parts and spark plugs and it might run better. A well worn car (looks like it has 230k miles instead of 130k), although it might make a driver. I would not want to restore it.
