Having some difficulty with diagnosing a steering wheel/front end shake after replacing the 16" BBS rims with 16" OEM BMW rims from a 5 series. I kept the original tires (directional) in place. Local mechanic says tires are balanaced with a noticable hop in each tire when on the machine. He believes the tires have bad belts. The ride was fine with the other rims. Do I need spacers or something? The rims have the correct offset I believe. Any guidance would be appreciated, thanks

Try hubcentric rings (Tire Rack) if you can take all lug bolts out and move wheel around on hub. They are cheap and a possible easy fix.

That was exactly the problem. I needed hub rings to center the wheel on the hub. Thanks for the help.
