Funny..last year I didn't go - I've been going since 2002 and just happened to skip it last year. HA! M-technik-3 06-25-2006, 02:46 PM Montreal is such a better event imho. Honestly thou W.G. or Lagunna Seca or Atlanta should host this event. TransHuman 06-26-2006, 12:01 PM Montreal is such a better event imho. I'm not sure any of those tracks would be suitable for F1 without major construction efforts - I'm hard pressed to think of a good track in the US that could actually afford to host the event. Indy just doesn't have the draw or should I say lure for me. It's an oval first then a road course that's weak at that. Having been to the European GP and the German GP and Montreal GP, I would rather see a well designed track for the US GP. Bottom line is that I just go to smell the fumes of the F1 cars anyway. It has an intoxicating effect on me :stickoutt I do have to say that it seems that the Indy track affords viewers some of the closest views of the cars of all the circuits except Monaco which of course is totally out of the budget. I hate to say it but any modern track seems to have that anesthetic feel to it which just doesn't suit me. F1 is all upside down..they're racing in a featureless track in Bahrain but cancelled Spa??? WTF? M-technik-3 06-27-2006, 10:04 AM Spa, Awesome place to drive but like the old Nurburgring is very unsafe in certain areas. Bahrain is an awesome layout it's to bad that it is in a sandpit. I used it live less than an hour from Spa, and Nurburgring was 20 minutes away. Spa is a very cool track to drive on I honestly don't understand why they say they don't get the revenue. It appears they are just being greedy. |
