chances are the OEM paint is not going to match the original color. The extrerior of the car is subject to extreme heat/cold plus the inclimate conditions of daily use. If I were you, I would go to the best auto body shop in your area and have them find the paint code for your BMW color. From there they can either mix a batch of paint, or take a scan of the paint on the car to get the exact mixture and levels of the contents. Then spraying and applying the clear, prep work and sanding should be effortless.
