ok, so now im starting to hate ebay. i just bought a in dash unit which was the pioneer avic-n1 off ebay and the guy had great feedback, it was about 97% positives and i was the winner of a used avic-n1 complete in dash unit. Upon arrival and installation, i got everything to work but the previous owner's cd is stuck in the unit and it wont eject nor will it play the cd. So basically i think the motor that eats and ejects the cd is broken so it doesnt accept any new cds nor does it eject any previous cds. How much do you think Pioneer Electronics would repair this unit for? any ideas?

Have you tried contacting them via email or phone?? I think that would be the quickest and surest solution to your woes.

What did ebay have to do with this?

Anywho. Call them. Id say anywhere from $150-200 if its just the CD mechanism.

they said 200$ flat rate, does this mean i can tell them to repair anything i might think is faulty or will become faulty like the ribbon cable and the lcd back lighting?

They wont replace something that "may" become faulty. Im sure you can send it to them and have them give you an estimate on bringing it back to factory specs. If its too high than have them send it back

they are gonna swap the entire mech, that's why the flat rate.

I'm surprised you haven't had the screen lift problem from the gears wearing out that lift the screen up when it comes out.

well i just bought it off ebay and the guy jipped me saying everything was in perfect working condition. and now i cant do anything about it but save money to get it fixed from pioneer. the screen goes in and out perfectly fine though, the gears don't look worn at all.

Contact the seller first. State your case clearly and in a businesslike fashion without name-calling or accusations. Give him a chance to refund your money. Proceeding otherwise is unfair to him and unwise for you. Don't leave feedbck until the issue is resolved. If the auction says the unit is in proper working condition, it should be.

If you don't get a refund, then issue negative feedback and go on with life.

Oh, and you should pay the return shipping. Comes with the territory.
