hey guys i have a 1997 e39 540i6 and i have chrome trim around the windows... from what im told it is pretty rare. So i was wondering how many e39 540i6's where actually produced and sent states? how could i find this info?

i know their not extremely rare say like a ferrari f40.... i think for that year maybe like only 3000 were sold in the states... that is a 97 540i sport... i wasn't trying to grip about how rare my car is, just curious of the production number of how many :)
