View Full Version : Full Of Rage In The Mar!!!

Ok, this is my first "full of rage" post, but I think it's very warranted.

1. So I go to get my car inspected. It's due by the end of the month. I take it to a friendly gas station right near my house during my lunch break. After waiting in the 95 degree weather for 1/2 hour, it finally gets pulled into the garage. The guy starts doing his check list stuff while I fill out a form. 2 minutes into it he says "state law requires that both fog lights light up". Well I'm missing the driving side light. "I say "if it's a big deal, just pop the other one out". He says "I can't do that, that's not the way it came in." He then says "oh, and your headlight lenses and corners are not DOT approved." I have euro headlights w/ HIDs and clear corners. Now I'm starting to get pissed and I say "well if you're gonna fail it for this, let me just take car then." He says "oh I can't let you do that once I've already started, and I'm almost done." So five minutes later I get my car back with a nice big fat rejection sticker on it. :mad :mad :mad :mad So I pay my $15 and get outta there. WHAT THE FVCK!!!! :mad (I mean be a pal buddy and let me slide. If there are any issues, I installed them after the inspection.... )

2. After the inspection ordeal, I head over the Parcel/shipping store to get an estimate on shipping someone my OEM wheels. I put a wheel on their scale and ask how much it would cost to ship to Hershey, PA. The guy says "what's the zip code?" I say "I don't know, it's going to Hershey, PA, can't you look that up?" He says "that's not how our system works." Again, I get pissed and walk out. :mad :mad :mad (I know there's a computer in the back with Internet access, I just saw him on it. I mean, take 30 seconds and google it :mad )

3. After all of this crap I hop in my car, which is on fire cuz of the heat and black leather (and I'm sweating already), and have to listen to the god damn belt/alternator bearings squeaking so flippin' loud.... AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:mad :mad :mad :mad

/rant

Cliff notes: I'm pissed! :mad

You should drink lots of Red Bull to take the edge off.

Once you fix the lights it's only $1 to get it reinspected.

I know... but I just don't want to pull all that shit out and then put it right back in... Anyone have any amber OEM corners I could borrow? :(

I know who will be playing BF2 tonight to release the rage. Beer helps too. That is complete bullshit BTW. Scrape that ulgy pink POS sticker off your windshield and take it to the Mobil Station right up the street from where you work. They didnt even look at my car and passed it. No horn no lights no brakes nothing just Thank you Sir have a nice day. Elden and Worldgate Dr. You know me I would have flipped out ninja style if that jackass at the postal place didnt help. Or called a friend.... Srry about the belt but thats is an easy fix we can handle that this weekend I still gotta change my O2 sensor. BTW you up for some paintball? REWR

Good Luck Bud! I would not send your wheels via USPS! They lost my box of shocks and springs ( a HUGE box ) and never got a dime for them. They didnt help me look at all, my gf did all the work...

i'm totally with you guys on this whole July-sucks theme.
last week (happened to be my first day of work at new job), i goto start my car after it sat in my driveway getting rained on for a few days... and it wont start.
i tried to fix anything i could but still wouldnt start... tow the car to our trustworthy mechanic (no sarcasm), he replaces the DME but then sends the whole car to Tate BMW in Annapolis to be reflashed. A job that should take no more than an hour... takes TATE an entire week before they finally return my car to my mechanic. and guess what.. the car still doesnt start.
on top of that, my car sat in the mechanics lot for 3 extra days before being touched...

summary: car went into the shop 10 days ago... car is still there... i'm angry

You should take it to Artisan Autobody in manassas to get fixed. They're on whitepages.com. My friend Kevin runs/owns the shop, and does awesome work. Right now another bf.com member has his 2002 in there being restored. They have used zero bondo on it so far - all weld/grind, it looks retarded awesome in its stripped glory.

That sucks. I'm a little pissed because I have to wait for my headlights to come in and they took five days for the guy to send, and now five days in transit.

Oh well...I can be patient. Good times?
